Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is an organization
of over 200 Family Practitioners, Pediatricians, and
Internal Medicine physicians. Consistent with our
commitment to providing the best care for our Central
Ohio patients, we will ride and volunteer again in
Pelotonia as Team COPC.
After riding in the inaugural ride in 2009, several COPC pediatricians felt that our organization should have a bigger presence in Pelotonia. With the support of many, a new peloton called teamCOPC was formed. Along with family and friends, our physicians and staff have participated in every Pelotonia since. In our first four years, teamCOPC has raised over $591,000 for cancer research!
Founded in 2008, Pelotonia was established with the
objective to fund life-saving cancer research. The
model of Pelotonia remains simple: Pelotonia’s
operating expenses are covered by generous funding
partners so that 100% of every dollar raised by
Pelotonia Riders, Virtual Riders and Volunteers goes
directly to fund cancer research at The Ohio State
University Comprehensive Cancer Center—Arthur G.
James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research
Pelotonia is a three-day experience that includes a weekend of cycling, entertainment and volunteerism. In its first six rides, Pelotonia raised more than $82 million for cancer research.
How You Can Help
Join the ride:
Riders select one of six routes and agree to raise the amount of money associated with the selected route. Depending on the route chosen, the ride rangesfrom 25 to 180 miles.
Anyone can be a Virtual Rider. A Virtual Rider is an individual who is unable to participate as a Rider or Volunteer, but would still like to fundraise. Aside from an initial donation of at least $10, there are no minimum fundraising requirements.
Pelotonia will host Volunteers at the Opening Ceremony on Friday and at every start, finish, and stop along the route on Saturday and Sunday.
